Being the Production Planner entails ordering/receiving steel, forecasting, and creating jobs for the shop floor.

Did you originally see yourself in this current position?
“I sure did. As soon as I saw the job posting I applied for it!”

What is one challenge about this position?
“Always having to be on top of your game, making sure you order the right steel and select the right jobs.”

 

Can you describe a typical workday?
“You never know what will be waiting for you when you get in, in the mornings. But my day usually starts with forecasting or jobbing, ordering steel, and receiving steel.”

 

What is one thing you wish you knew before working at Whirtronics?
“How many customers purchase blades!! I had no idea there are so many businesses out there making lawnmowers.”

“The versatility of being able to do a variety of tasks, and being able to learn new skills like the ISO training.”

 

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time outside of work?
“I enjoy being outside as much as possible, gardening, spending time with my family and friends, working on old cars and trucks, photography, and watching my kids playing in the dirt!”
