Steve Thul

CEO

Steve has been with Whirltronics since February 1998, bringing over 15 years of corporate management experience to his role. As CEO, he oversees the strategic direction and performance of the company, ensuring that all initiatives align with the long-term vision and goals. A graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a BA in Marketing, Steve combines his educational background with hands-on experience to drive the company’s success. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, attending church, and a variety of fitness activities including running, biking, swimming, and golfing.

Eric Fink

President

Eric joined Whirltronics in 2006 and serves as the President. His responsibilities are to provide guidance and leadership to the Whirltronics management team by following the company’s core values, living the company’s mission, and following the Whirltronics philosophy daily. Eric attended and graduated from St. Cloud State University. In his free time, he enjoys being with his family, spending time at the lake, or reading a good book.

Jennifer Lindquist

Senior Vice President of Manufacturing

Jennifer began with Whirltronics in 1994 and is currently the Senior Vice President of Manufacturing. Her role includes leading the production, quality, and engineering teams, as well as leading the lean (continuous improvement) initiative. Jennifer holds a BS in Manufacturing Engineering from St. Cloud State University. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, taking walks, being on the water, or watching baseball.

Bryan McCallum

Vice President of Finance

Bryan started with Whirltronics in November, 2020 as the Vice President of Finance, overseeing the Accounting, Production Planning, and Human Resources departments. With a strong background in financial management, he drives strategic initiatives to optimize the company’s financial performance, streamline production planning, and enhance HR operations. His leadership ensures alignment between financial goals and operational efficiency, contributing to the company’s overall success. Bryan holds a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from St. Cloud State University, a Master’s degrees in both, Accountancy and Business Taxation from the University of Minnesota. Outside of work, Bryan enjoys time with his family, watching his two boys play sports and exploring different parks. On the weekends he enjoys going to Mille Lacs to fish and swim.

Brent Elstad

Director of Maintenance and Safety

Brent joined the Whirltronics team in June of 2014 and is responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of all equipment and ensuring reliability to meet customer demands. He also manages the facility and property, ensures regulatory compliance, and maintains a safe enviortnment for all employees. Brent’s education background is in industrial engineering and electrical millwriting. Outside of work, Brent enjoyes spending time with his family, working in the shop, and spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, and ATV riding.

Matt Severson

Director of Quality

Matt began with Whirltronics in 2013, and his role is to manage and oversee the quality/lab group, interpreting customer requirements and ensuring those needs are met. The quality group also sets up and runs new product requests and PPAP requirements and leads continuous improvement projects. Matt also manages the tool room, where Whirltroncis designs and builds blank and form dies to meet customer product requirements. The tool room is engaged in the front end of new product development and tooling requirements. Also, it helps support internal builds of new equipment and repairs existing equipment. Matt holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a BS in Economics with a Business Economics Focus.  When he’s not at work, Matt enjoys spending time with his family and friends- especially working on projects with his daughter.  He also enjoys reading, playing games, watching movies, and taking their dogs on golf cart rides or walks around town and to parks.

Dan Jernberg

Director of Sales

Dan has been with Whirltronics since 2015 as the Director of Sales. In this role, he serves as the primary liaison between the company and its clients, ensuring that their needs are understood and met with exceptional service. In addition to customer relations, Dan is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive quotes, and plays a crucial role in project integration, coordinating with various departments to ensure seamless execution from initial contact through project completion. Dan studied turf grass management at Anoka Technical College. Outside of work, Dan spends his time with family, golfing, watching the Wild, Vikings, and Twins, and especially enjoys being a grandparent.

Julie Gunnarson

Human Resources Generalist

Julie started with Whirltronics in 2021 as our Human Resources Generalist. In this role, she vets, interviews, hires, and onboards new employees; handles employee relations, including recognition and disciplinary matters; handles employee benefits, leave, and policy administration; and coordinates company social functions. Julie earned a Bachelor of Science from St. Cloud State University and is a SHRM-certified professional. She enjoys being with her family, lake time, campfires, and watching football and baseball in her free time.

Neil Bengtson

Director of Engineering

Neil has been with Whirltronics since 2012 and is our Director of Engineering. His role encompasses the design, construction, enhancement, and continuous technical support of specialized equipment and processes. Neil’s responsibilities include not only the initial conceptualization and engineering of innovative solutions tailored to specific operational needs but also the meticulous building and testing of these systems to ensure they meet stringent quality and performance standards. Neil graduated from St. Cloud State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. In his spare time, Neil enjoys being outdoors, especially fishing, biking, and paddleboarding.
