Summertime at Whirltronics!

You know Whirltronics for our precision metal manufacturing and our commitment to excellence. But we also love to celebrate our employees and our community! This month, we’re talking all about the fun we’ve been having at work and around town.

The Great Outdoor Fair

On June 28, Whirltronics participated in the City of Buffalo’s Great Outdoor Fair.  This was a free event for the community to celebrate the great outdoors, promote environmental stewardship and showcase local organizations and businesses.

Participants could learn more about opportunities at area parks, try a new sport or explore new hobbies. Our Director of Maintenance and Safety, Brent Elstad and his family were there representing Whirltronics for the afternoon with a fun craft project for our visitors to enjoy.

Operation Exploration Hands-On Camp

Earlier this summer, we partnered with Central Minnesota Jobs & Training Services (CMJTS) and Wright Technical Center to participate in their Operation Exploration Hands-On Camp. This camp offers opportunities for individuals aged 16-24 to learn about the trades industry including construction, manufacturing, welding, energy, and transportation/automotive.

We had 2 groups on 2 separate days hosting approximately 30 individuals in total.  Our Production Manager, Walker Deakins, provided a tour of our facility and he, along with our HR generalist Julie Gunnarson, offered a Q&A session after the tours to answer any questions they had about all aspects of the company.

Whirltronics is always welcoming of groups or individuals that are interested in what we do here, and welcome them to schedule a tour of our facility.  We’ve partnered with CMJTS and Wright Technical Center on multiple occasions, and we look forward to continuing to provide opportunities to show what manufacturing and the trades have to offer.

Employee Picnic

It’s our favorite day of the year! Each year we invite family and friends to join us for burgers, hot dogs and everything picnic related. Unfortunately, this year, Mother Nature didn’t cooperate much with the weather (it POURED), but we pivoted and had a great time anyway!

We’d love to give a shout out to Annandale Embroidery for our t-shirts and Bernicks for providing the pop/water coolers.

If you’d like to participate in our employee picnic next year (when it will hopefully be sunny and outside again!), we’re hiring! Click here to see our current job opportunities. To make sure you never miss an opportunity to participate in our summer fun, make sure you’re following us on social media to get all of the latest updates from Whirltronics, and make sure you subscribe to our newsletter
