Scheduling Efficiency with Anna Latare

When did you start at Whirltronics and what was your position?
“In May it will be three years. I started as the Production Scheduler.”
What did that position entail?
“Scheduling the blades we make through each of their various production processes in the shop in the most efficient way possible and scheduling the operators to run those various production processes.”
What was the process like to get to your current position?
“I’m always trying to learn something new and take on new responsibilities. I also really enjoy helping others. I think that helped provide me the opportunity to advance.”
Can you describe a typical workday?
“One of the best things about my position is there are no two days the same. The operations team is always very busy. The team works with our customers to try and meet their needs. We do the planning, scheduling, and shipping of all parts that we make.”
What is one thing you wish you knew before working at Whirltronics?
“Just knowing about Whirltronics. I had no idea this big opportunity was nestled right here in Buffalo.”

What is your favorite thing about working at Whirltronics?
“It’s a true family atmosphere with great people.”
Looking back, is there anything you would do differently within your positions at Whirltronics?
“No, I don’t think so. It has all been a learning experience.”
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time outside of work?
“Spending time with friends and family. I like traveling and going anywhere I haven’t been before.”
